Willa Dunlap and her younger brother, Ben, have just moved to Chincoteague Island, where their parents are opening a bed-and-breakfast called Misty Inn. They can't wait to explore, meet new friends, and have new adventures!

The Marguerite Henry's Misty Inn series is inspired by the award-winning books by Marguerite Henry, beloved author of such classic horse stories as King of the Wind; Misty of Chincoteague; Stormy; Misty's Foal; and Justin Morgan Had a Horse.

    Inside- A Forever Friend

    Titles include:

    Welcome Home!

Willa Dunlap and her brother, Ben, are new to Chincoteague Island. Their parents are busy planning the opening of a bed-and-breakfast, which gives the kids plenty of time to explore. But with so many new people and places to get used to, Willa worries Chincoteague will never, ever feel like home.

    Buttercup Mystery

Chincoteague is finally beginning to feel like home to Willa and Ben Dunlap. Willa and her friend Sarah Starling go everywhere together, and Ben likes hanging around with Sarah's older brother, Chipper. But now they're in the middle of a pony mystery: someone is poisoning the Starlings' new horse, and the kids have to find out who it is before it's too late!

    Runaway Pony

Full Moon Fancy is a pony with a knack for getting loose. First she tramples Grandma Edna's herb garden, and then she knocks over the chicken coop wall. Fancy even starts helping Starbuck, Willa and Ben's favorite pony, open the corral gate. When Starbuck escapes on her own, the kids track her down at night, worried that Starbuck is lost for good!

    Finding Luck

Willa and Ben Dunlap have been super busy helping their parents get ready for the grand opening of Misty Inn, their bed-and-breakfast. But with lumpy mattresses and last-minute painting, it's a major disaster zone. Willa and Ben really want to help someone—or something—who needs them more: a lost Chincoteague pony in search of his mother!

    A Forever Friend

Willa Dunlap is thrilled that Kate, her best friend from Chicago, is finally coming to Chincoteague for a visit. But it's been a whole year since they've seen each other, and Willa soon realizes their friendship is not as easy as it once was. Kate is dressed in fancy clothes and wears sparkly nail polish. Nail polish? When did that happen? And what other surprises will Kate have?

    Pony Swim

It's the week of the annual Chincoteague Pony Swim, and it's the first time Willa and Ben are going. Misty Inn is fully booked for the days leading up to the swim. As if the island's biggest event isn't exciting enough, the Dunlaps learn an important travel critic will be staying with them. The kids are determined to show the special guest just how nice Misty Inn can be, but the critic is undercover! How can Willa and Ben show off the inn if they don't know whom they're showing it to?

    Teacher's Pet

A back-to-school assignment has Willa scrambling for an idea. Everyone in her class comes up with clever projects, even her best friends Sarah and Lena. At first Willa thinks her father's yummy raspberry torte will be perfect, but at the last minute, disaster strikes. The raspberries don't cooperate, and she's fresh out of ideas! How will Willa ever turn this mess around and not get a big red raspberry zero on her report?

    Home at Last

Even though Ben Dunlap is allowed to take care of his older sister Willa's pony, everyone knows Starbuck is really hers—the two are inseperable. But then Ben and Willa discover a wild, renegade pony, and Ben wants to keep him. He even names the pony Winesap. Willa worries Ben will grow too attached, and she's right. Just like that, Ben and Winesap become best friends, and Ben won't give him up.
