Willa Dunlap and her younger brother, Ben, are new to Chincoteague Island. Their parents are busy planning the opening of a bed-and-breakfast, which gives the kids plenty of time to explore. Buttercup Mystery

Chincoteague is finally beginning to feel like home to Willa and Ben Dunlap. Willa and her friend Sarah Starling go everywhere together, and Ben likes hanging around with Sarah's older brother, Chipper. But now they're in the middle of a pony mystery: someone is poisoning the Starlings' new horse and the kids have to find out who it is before it's too late!

Full Moon Fancy is a pony with a knack for getting loose. First she tramples Grandma Edna's herb garden, and then she knocks over the chicken coop wall. Fancy even starts helping Starbuck, Willa and Ben's favorite pony, open the corral gate. When Starbuck escapes on her own, the kids track her down in the night, worried that Starbuck is lost for good!
