They set off to find the General, but the road to the commander in chief of the Continental Army is full of obstacles including the man who shot their father who is hot on their trail.

For Patriot's, Redcoat's & Spies Robert Skead partnered with his father to develop the story. The father-son writing team belongs to the Sons of the American Revolution. Their ancestor, Lamberton Clark, one of the main characters in the story, fought in the Revolutionary War as a member of the Connecticut Militia and the Continental Army. There are many historical facts about the Revolutionary War mentioned in the book and features events that took place in 1777 in Bergen County, New Jersey, where the Skeads live.
